![]() In version 6, a VM I upgraded couldn't have the hard disk resized any more, telling me there was a problem. For example: somewhere about version 6 (maybe 5), suspending a VM suddenly started taking up to ten minutes. Fusion has got noticeably buggier since version 4.Version 6 increased this even more, until I was basically running what felt like a "slow" computer (a Windows 7 installation on Mavericks.) Mavericks itself was fine, the VM wasn't. In version 5, there were occasional, perceptual slowdowns - the mouse cursor might be odd, or window animations weren't quite smooth, or typing would lag. Version 4 was the last time I remember having a native-speed-feeling Windows installation. Fusion has got noticeably slower since version 4.I changed from Fusion to Parallels when I upgraded to Yosemite and it's the best virtualization decision I have ever made, and I've been a Fusion user since version 3 (I think) on Tiger (I think - a long time ago, anyway.) Here's why: The bigger question is Fusion vs Parallels. I "switched" to Parallels with the upgrade, so have spent far more time using it than Fusion, but from my minimal Fusion use it is okay. First of all, both Fusion 7 and Parallels 10 work fine in Yosemite.
